On One World tonight we have 2 hours of pure eclectic-ness
from all corners of the extreme. We have a Maida Vale session from M83
with their latest mish mash of ambient and guitar pop sounds. Also a mix
from drum n bass hero LTJ Bukem and a storming set from Berlin based monster
Leon Sega.
M83
M83
are: Anthony Gonzalez (guitar, keyboards) / Ludovic Morillon (drums) /
Stephane Bouvier (bass) / Philippe Thiphaine (guitar)
'Before The Dawn Heals Us' is the third album from M83,
essentially the brainchild of Anthony Gonzalez, a resident of Antibes,
France.
Like its two predecessors the eponymous debut and
it¹s follow up, 'Dead Cities, Red Seas' & 'Lost Ghosts'
it's a huge and epic attempt to use music to transport its audience well
beyond their immediate environment. This is a sound that is deliberately
colossal, a sound that is as likely to recall Mussorgsky as Mogwai.
For the first time as much of the music was recorded live
by Anthony and a variety of other musicians as was programmed. Vocals also
play a more significant part than on previous outings, which have been
essentially instrumental albums.

LTJ Bukem
LTJ
Bukem has been at the forefront of drum and bass since its start in the
early nineties. He is also producer and label boss of Good Lookin Records,
as well as working as a DJ nearly 300 nights a year.
This week Bukem joins us to showcase some material from
the new Progression Sessions mix album, recorded live in Berlin. The new
release includes the latest releases from the Good Looking label such as
the current Mc Conrad and Makoto track "Golden Girl" which has been the
runaway success of LTJ Bukems sets this year. It also features the latest
releases from CIA records, 31 Records and Social Studies.

Leon Sega
An
excerpt from Leon Sega's website:
Quite hard to be a libra. Always trying to balance on
a thin line. To avoid the fall I had to perform dual acts of living and
producing. So here I am staying in Athens/Berlin creating electronic techno
as DJ Leon Sega and dark lostlooped electro as Joalz, performing as a DJ
in clubs, beaches, festivals and as a live act in theatres, homes, bars.
Lucky me universe has determined libra with two sides only.
